That brings me to today. I’ve dwelled in this place for nearly two weeks at this point. I have a fairly comprehensive understanding of how this realm is laid out. The creek – and, by extension, the trail that runs along it, are in the shape of a giant circle. This entire realm is bordered by the treeline. I’m not entirely sure if more exists beyond the trees as I’ve never ventured through them. Whenever I get close to them, something just feels\u2026 wrong. It’s unpleasant. The only notable landmark here is a bridge. This bridge passes over the creek and leads towards the center of the circle. I plan on exploring that area later today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I mentioned before that the sky here appeared to be the same black and green blotchy horizon I saw outside that hospital’s windows, but that’s not always the case. The sky seems to change quite often\u2026 Sometimes it’s bright blue. Other times it may be a beautiful golden twilight. It may even change into a brilliant night sky lit up with stars. It’s as if these different skies are being “scrolled through” at fixed rates. This is something I’ll have to observe in more detail\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, I’ve done some digging into this “Lunar Children” cult. The group was very secretive – hardly any information exists about them online. The biggest source of information came from a group known as the “Internet Detectives”, who seem to have been documenting the cult’s movements since 2015. Perhaps they hold the answers I seek?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I just got back from exploring beyond the bridge. It led me to a quarry of sorts\u2026 The path entered into a large basin that was surrounded by rocky cliff faces. These cliffs were dotted with waterfalls. Could this be the source of the creek water? I’m not entirely sure. I couldn’t find anything particularly interesting here, but this area did feel rather\u2026 charged, I guess you could say. There seems to be some importance here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After returning to the trail, I drew a crude map of the area using this laptop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also decided to join this “Internet Detectives” group. Finding a way into their circle was easy enough, but I was at a loss as to how I should identify myself\u2026 It’s not like I had any past names I could label myself as – at least not ones that I could remember\u2026 I instead just created something on the spot – “Gelus”. Not sure where it came from, but I thought it sounded fitting enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon entering, I was immediately greeted with a\u2026 “warm” welcome. Many of them began insulting me right out of the gate. Others accused me of being a member of the cult. The rest resorted to in-fighting. Are these people truly my only lead?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The detectives eventually quieted down. It seems this is a sort of vetting process that new members undergo. Great. Well, until I can learn more about this group and its\u2026 complicated dynamic, I’ve resigned myself to lurking.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
