Today is August 6th. I’m still a bit shaken up as I write this, but I’ll try my best to remain focused. I saw someone today. Here. In the Shortcut. This is the first time that’s ever happened, and I don’t know what to make of it. It can’t just be a random wanderer, right? They have to be connected to the Lunar Children – how else would they get here? The worst part is that they definitely saw me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alright. Let me start from the beginning. I was taking a walk around the trail shortly after waking up. This has basically been my routine for the past few months. I’ve never felt in danger or really anything other than pure tranquility while doing so. But\u2026 today was different. I kept getting a really uneasy feeling\u2026 I couldn’t shake the sensation that I was being watched and kept looking over my shoulder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As I was nearing the bridge, I turned and saw him. At least, they appeared to be male\u2026 I couldn’t see their face. They were wearing a large, shiny mask and were dressed in\u2026 I think a hoodie? Their clothes were rather unassuming. I honestly didn’t know how to react – this was completely unexpected, so I just froze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We stared at each other. It felt like an entire minute, though I know it must have only been a few seconds. They didn’t say anything\u2026 They didn’t even really move – that is, until I blinked. Though I had only closed my eyes for a split second, they vanished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At first I thought I must have hallucinated it, because how would that even be possible? I later remembered hearing about how some of these cultists had special abilities to “warp” around at will\u2026 Something involving the “Parallelos”, I believe? Is that what this was? My mind is racing and I have a splitting headache\u2026 I’ve boarded myself up in my “room” and closed off the Shortcut for the time being.
